![]() ![]() Pertinent to note is the rapid development of Plant-derived pesticides, or “botanicals.” They entail the pyrethroids, rotenoids, nicotinoids, and the fourth group that includes strychnine and scilliroside. It includes microbial pesticides and biochemical pesticides. We also have classification based on their physical state (gaseous). Sometimes these differences cannot be pointed out. Which includes: organic, inorganic, synthetic, or biological (biopesticide). It can also be classified by its chemical pattern. They can lead to severe respiratory problems. Many pesticides also contain arsenic, which is a known human carcinogen. Studies have shown that pesticides like organochlorines, creosote, and sulfamate are carcinogenic, while DDT, chlordane, and lindane promote the growth of tumors.
